Super Duplex / Alloy 2507 / UNS S32750 / 1.4410
Alloy 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel with 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications that require exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, such as chemical and petrochemical processes and sea-water equipment. This type of steel is excellently resistant to shearing as a result of stress corrosion, high thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion coefficient. The high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents offer excellent resistance against pitting, crevice formation and general corrosion.
Alloy 2705 also has high impact resistance. It is not recommended for applications that require extended exposure to temperatures exceeding 570 ° F, due to the risk of decreased toughness.
Super Duplex stainless steel offers the same advantages as its Duplex counterpart. The main difference between the two is that Super Duplex has a higher chromium and molybdenum content, resulting in increased corrosion resistance.

Applications of Super Duplex / Alloy 2507:
✓ Oil and gas industry
✓ Heat exchangers
✓ Offshore platforms
✓ Chemical processing equipment
✓ Boilers
✓ Pressure vats
